**MedsCheck: Understand Your Medications** MedsCheck is a private consultation with a pharmacist, usually lasting 20–30 minutes. Together, you review your prescription medications, over-the-counter products, vitamins and supplements. Your pharmacist explains how to take them, discusses possible side effects and interactions, answers your questions and provides an updated medication list. **Who qualifies for a free MedsCheck?** You qualify if you live in Ontario, have a valid Ontario health card and either: • Take three or more prescription medications for ongoing, chronic health conditions; or • Have type 1 or type 2 diabetes—even if you take fewer than three medications or manage your diabetes without medication. You do not need to be 65 or older or enrolled in the Ontario Drug Benefit program. An annual review is generally available every 365 days. Additional follow-up reviews may be available when program criteria are met. Bring your health card and all medications and supplements you use, or a complete list.
